The first book I read to my daughter (post-wombness) was “North Star” by Peter Reynolds. Our first chapter book together was “My Father’s Dragon” by Ruth Stiles Gannet. I could not help but think of the sweetest red-headed boy who dressed up like Boris with a great big smile on his face. Classics in my book. 🙂
